Anna Anthropy, a dot-matrix dominatrix and badass trans artdyke, created a flash-based game describing her experience beginning hormones. While it does not represent the experiences of every trans person, as Anna explains, it is a story about six months in her life after making the decision to start hormone replacement therapy and begin taking estrogen.
Use the arrow keys on your keyboard to navigate the game.
Get a sense about what it feels like to not fit as you try to pass tetris-esque objects through narrow or just plain impossible to fit pathways.
Deflect hate speech from transphobic "feminists" and dodge physical pain and embarrassments.
It's a clever game to help convey these frustrations, and I found myself tearing up at levels visually marking transformations, love, and acceptance. A great soundtrack, fun graphics, and a moving game. Hat tip to Chris Lowrance, by way of Border House!
