What were you like back in high school? Who did you hang out with/date?
"In high school, I was so shy and withdrawn; the only thing that kept me in school was my desire to run. I was a very good athlete. I hated school so much. I had very few friends. I was a loner. I never felt like myself ever, well, only when I was running alone and could fantasize about being a man runner. I was sad and lonely most of the time. I was a fighter. constantly getting into many fights until eventually I got kicked out of school and put into another and then another. I didn't graduate. Dating! Ha ha ha...I was a secret lesbian and felt so out of place. I went to high school in the seventies, These things were not spoken about..trans wasn't even a thing. When I said I felt like a man, they put me in a hospital. They thought I was gay. They didn't know the difference between gay and trans. I felt hopeless. I had a secret girlfriend; she was my best friend but we never talked about our love affair. Sometimes she would make fun of me and embarrass me. Looking back, it was her own insecurities about her sexuality but when you are 17 and dealing with no one understanding, it's a killer. I eventually tried to kill myself. It was all downhill from there.

Were you a porn fan before you got into the industry? Who were your favorite porn stars/favorite porn movies?

"Yes, weirdly I can totally remember saying I wanted to be a porn star when I was a dyke in my late twenties. 70s porn will always be my favorite style of porn, for the sheer fact that it is real. Real body hair...woman have pussy hair!!! It's so sexy. Men have body hair; it's so sexy. They have real sex. You can see it on their faces and in the way they orgasm. It isn't staged. The camera is the film. They shot it all like a movie. I remember seeing one of my first pornos when I was staying at my parent's friends house and they went out to dinner and I found a VHS of Marilyn Chambers and OMG, my life was changed. I used to masturbate so much to the vision of her blowing and fucking a car on the side of a road where the car broke down. I think I used that vision stuck in my head for well over into my mid to late adulthood."

How did you become a porn performer? What led you down that career path?
"I was making fetish films, specifically Dominatrix films with my wife a famous dominatrix called Ilsa Strix, we started shooting her scenes at our Los Angeles dungeon and selling them. They were on VHS; that's how old school that is. We had a very successful mail order business and then we learned to build a website and add streaming and all that jazz. as it was taking off and this was in like 2000 or 2001, a transgender porn star names Saigon Lee asked me to be her webmaster. so I started working with her and that's when I realized that there was lots of trans woman porn but no trans men porn. This is where people will say 'yes there was', and yes there was a guy named Christopher Lee, who produced FTM porn on a very low budget, underground, culty way but not mainstream so to be technical, yes, he was doing it before me but I did it on a more mainstream scale and brought it to light. I said to myself, 'wow, there are no trans men in the porn industry. They have all this 'chicks with dicks'but no 'man with a pussy'.' I told my buddy and he said to me, 'dude, that idea is brilliant; you are going to change the world.' Ha haa..I will never forget that because I said, 'Change the world? I am only making porn' and it was born. Though at first, the adult industry shunned me. They were not open to my idea but I had the tenacity for some reason to keep going even in the line of fire. Not only from the adult world but also from the trans male world, to this day there is a faction of trans men who still think that me being proud and being sexual is a reflection of them. They don't even see how that's so ridiculous and how they have such big egos. It's not about anyone but me..what part of 'Buck Angel: The Man with the Pussy' are they missing? Ha ha ha!"

What/who do you want to do on-camera that you haven’t done yet?
"Actually, I am pretty much done with performing. It is not my career anymore. I have no big desire to be in front. My desire is to continue to produce my 'Sexing The Transman' series showcasing other trans men. This FTM porn genre needs to take off already; it's taking so long to get other FTM guys to participate. They are little by little, but I started in 2002 and I would have thought by now that this genre would be as big as the trans woman genre."

Who is your performer to work with and why?
"Like I said above, it's not really something I desire anymore. I don't really want to perform; I want other trans guys to though I will perform when there is a project that I feel will benefit from me being in it and it will further the genre that I started. It makes me sad to see it just not going anywhere. It is why I did these recent two films with Dana Vespoli. Because the opportunity to continue to put trans men in a spotlight in porn where we have never been seen before will open doors for the future of other trans male performers."

You seem to really love your fans and respond to them a lot on Twitter. Tell me how having this fan base has changed your life.
"First off I would not be here if it wasn't for my awesome fans. Honestly, my fans are so kick ass. They are always supporting me and they always have my back. They come to me when people talk shit and point it out. They help to get my voice out there to a bigger audience. This is why I engage with them. I love them and they love me. I am a real guy. I am very accessible and that's the way I like doing things because I know they appreciate that and also I am truly grateful for them. They make me feel special."

What do you love most about your Transsensual star showcase "Buck Angel Superstar"?
"Everything!! Honestly though working with Dana Vespoli is always just a fucking treat. Then there are all the ladies of the film-Aubrey Kate, Chanel Santini, Tori Mayes and Mandy Mitchell- what a great cast. We all just worked super hard and gave everything because this is such a groundbreaking piece of work. It's the first FTM showcase, and like I said before, that's how we make the change! We continue to push boundaries. The thing that's going to be interesting is how the viewer will react to this, because I am pretty sure that most of these ladies have a straight cis male fanbase. They are not mine. In fact, they are the least to be a fan of mine. That's again why this film is so important. I will almost bet you that one of these guys, probably many more than one, will say something to the effect of 'gross that's disgusting a man with a pussy' when they feel totally fine with being turned on by a woman with a penis. It's fascinating to me how they justify this thought process because it just makes no sense. Its OK that they are not turned on by me but to always call me these childish names, yes, these are adult men- it always makes me laugh."

What do you enjoy most about working for Transsensual?
"Everything, the cast the crew the direction. Dana is super easy to work with. I also like that we are again pushing boundaries. I love using my porn work to make people think outside the box. Again, making non-traditional pornography is the way we continue to push porn to new places and hopefully get people to see the value in it."

What did you enjoy most about being directed by Dana Vespoli?
"She is just super easy. She lets you go with the flow and rarely has she ever yelled 'cut' with me and started the scene over. That makes it easy for me as an actor to get into the scene more and have real sex."

What is your favorite scene in "Buck Angel Superstar"?
"Is this a trick question? Every scene is totally different and I actually enjoyed all of them, the ladies were amazing and so giving and we all just got along so well. I don't think any of them had had sex with a trans man before this film and it all just flowed."

What do you think that people get wrong the most in how they make love to each other?
"Well, I can only answer that for me. I think the most important thing about sex is that you are comfortable with you first, your own body and mind and how you feel about connecting. That has been the biggest and best thing I have ever done for myself. Learning to have sex with me first and then it was so easy to have sex with others. Confidence is everything."

Who are your role models in porn and how/why do they inspire you?
"Another trick question, but honestly, I have so many great friends and people who are focused like me who want to make change and want to make this industry awesome. Dana Vespoli, Jiz Lee, Stoya, Valentina Nappi, Venus Lux and for sure, all the ladies in this film."

What about your career in porn makes you the happiest?
"Being able to inspire other trans people to embrace their bodies and to talk about sex! The transgender community in notorious for shutting down the sex conversation. Many in that community look down on us in porn as if we are doing a dis-service. That's been the hardest for me, but 17 years later I see so many people reaching out to me and thanking me for all I do. That's what makes me happy. I want trans people to be happy enough to feel so comfortable to have sex."

Are you into toys to get yourself off alone or are you more low-tech?
"I am obsessed with my vibrator and of course my own toy the Buck Off. I love jacking off and do it every night. It's my sleeping pill."

If you could fuck any celebrity, who would it be?
"I already am but I can't tell you who.:)"

What is coming up for you?
"Wow if I told you everything, it would be a chapter in a book. That said, I am writing my book, releasing new sex toys with Perfect Fit Brand and I just released the first trans male lube with Sliquid. I have a cannabis line called Buck's Balm with my company Pride Cannabis. I have a sexual enhancement energy drink called Buck Up. I am traveling the world speaking. Those are the things that I have been spending my time on now."

"Of course. I fucking love you. Without my fans, I am nothing. I have always felt that way and will always feel this way. My fans have always been so engaging and loving with me. It's so awesome. The last thing I want to say is this- I have a very blessed and amazing life. This is because I live my life authentically and without apology. I encourage you to do the same. No one can make you happy but you. It is real. I also encourage you to give back. Abundance is my favorite word because it's real. There is enough for all of us!"
