A Lot of Porn Is Observing A Temporary Production Shutdown Because Of The COVID-19 Pandemic

Much Of Porn Production Has Stopped

Adult Industry advocacy group Free Speech Coalition has asked all porn production companies in the United States and Canada to voluntarily stop production until the end of March because of the coronavirus/COVID-19.

On the group's blog, they posted this:

"In accordance with the recent order from the Governor of the State of California to close all 'non-essential businesses,' and similar orders from other government officials throughout the United States and Canada, we ask that producers cancel all shoots through March 31, and recommend that performers immediately stop filming with partners who are not a part of their household. We do not take this step lightly.

We ask that all members of the adult industry stay home as much as possible, leaving the house only for necessities. We all must do our part to flatten the growth curve of this global pandemic."

Gamma Films which includes Â Adult Time and its studios Girlsway, Pure Taboo, Fantasy Massage, Burning Angel, Devils Film, and 21 Sextury are all observing the shutdown.

Team Skeet and their large network of sites has also announced a halt to production through the end of March.

Girlfriends Films announced that they will not be in production again until April 13th.

Moose, President of Girlfriends Films said in a company press release, 'After careful thought and consideration for the safety and well-being of talent, crew, and everyone involved with producing our films, we have made the decision to hold production for 30 days. Until then, we encourage everyone to follow protocols and stay safe. We look forward to seeing all of you back on set when the threat has subsided.'

The Transgender Erotic Awards (The TEA Show) has been postponed indefinitely.
