EDITORIAL FEATURES

Domino Delights!

Gorgeous porn star Domino Presley was generous to send her Fleshtunes over. Enjoy!

"Shorty Swing My Way" by KP and Envyi: Anyone 30 and older who grew up in the actual city of Atlanta knows this song. Anytime  the song starts, it's one of those "OMG this is my jam" kind of songs. "Shorty Swing My Way" is the perfect blend of hip hop and R&B. I heard it almost every morning on V103 on the bus going to school.

"Killing Me Softly With His Song" by Fugees: I think everyone in the world knows this song. Lauryn Hill's vocal talent is one of the most amazing things Earth gets to experience. It's a beautiful cover and Lauren's voice always gives me the chills. From the opening of the song hearing Hill's beautiful harmonization with herself. And then the beat kicks in to let you know this isn't like the original and you can't help but get a stank face and bob your head to the beat. I used to watch the music video when I was a kid and pretend I was in the theater with them, throwing popcorn with them.

"Stronger" by the Sugababes: I first heard the Sugababes in 2000 on Much Music (Canada's MTV) while I was visiting my Father in the village of Clinton, Michigan. They were three teenage girls of different ethnic backgrounds that had a very soulful sound and I fell in love with them. Their second album (after a lineup change) had the single "Stronger" on it. Stronger really speaks to anyone who's going through rough times and during that time when the song was released, I was a young, teenage, feminine gay boy who hated himself and was bullied constantly growing up in the city of Atlanta. The song starts out with Mutya Buena singing "I'll make it through the rainy days, I'll be the one who stands here longer than the rest" and that line immediately speaks to you. This song helped me wipe away a lot of tears and a lot of suicidal thoughts as a teenager.

"Stop Falling" by Pink: Start the song at 3 minutes and 31 seconds. The entire song is beautiful but that part of "Stop Falling" truly shows off the talent that P!nk possesses. This song was off P!nk's first album Can't Take Me Home, back when everyone thought P!nk was light skinned. If there is an album that best describes my personality, it's probably Can't Take Me Home.

"Take The Box" by Amy Winehouse: "Take the Box" is off Amy's first album Frank. It's one of her slower songs and I love that you can really get into her voice. After watching a documentary on Amy Winehouse and seeing how all of her songs were actually her diary and poetry put into musical form, it makes you appreciate her lyrics way more. Amy's voice was one one of a kind and I loved all of her music and how she didn't really give a fuck about the music industry, she gave a fuck about actual music. The song is about her leaving Frank and I think leaving the box of shit he got her at his place. The process of actually breaking up. It's good song to listen to to stick with a breakup and not get trapped back into the bullshit.
