Veteran director Dana Vespoli directed the recent Fleshbot Award winner for Movie Of The Year I Am Aubrey from Evil Angel. The sexual documentary/star showcase features Fleshbot's Trans Performer of the Year Aubrey Kate in an incredibly candid light along with showing her in some incredible sex scenes like the one highlighted in this interview which shows Kate with Chelsea Marie and Pierce Paris. "What I love most is that it functions as a documentary rather than a showcase. It did highlight Aubrey’s career in adult, but also her journey as a trans woman and sex worker. Aubrey’s willingness to be vulnerable really moved me, and so that aspect is what I love the most."

"Aubrey’s honesty. Oftentimes performers are very guarded, and particular about what they are willing to share. This is understandable, of course, but Aubrey is, in her words, 'an open book' and so I had many moments where my jaw would drop, because Aubrey would just tell it like it is. It’s part of what makes Aubrey unique—she simply doesn’t give a fuck, and I’m here for it."

"The most challenging aspect of making this movie was navigating travel and COVID protocol. Aubrey is based out of NYC and also travels a fair amount, so we really had to be mindful of not just Aubrey’s schedule, but the other performers as well. We had to reschedule quite a bit, but we finally got it all done!"
