It’s crazy to think I work in a gay bar every weekend and my music choices are still limited. I grew up when MTV actually did music with videos. Then, I exposed myself to new music.

Currently these are my favorite songs I have on my playlist or perform regularly.

"I’m The Only One" by Melissa Etheridge:  This song takes me back to when I first started transitioning in the late 90s. I fell in love with the first guy who accepted me as trans. I would lay in bed with this song playing on repeat. It’s crazy how old it is but anytime I perform it I know it will be a money maker.

"Around The Way Girl" by LL Cool J: Another oldie but goodie but this one goes to my teenage years. I like to blast this when in the shower. I lived on a holler in Eastern Kentucky. My cousin and I would go scooter riding and this is one of our jams.

"Make Me Feel" by Janelle Monae: Even though this song came out a year ago it’s new to me. When performing I usually do a pastie, corset and thong number and this is my favorite. I love her voice, the beat and how catchy it is. It also gets me thinking about how some of my favorite performers made me feel, LOL. Some of my favorites being Chris Dano or the monster cock Ramon. I would love for Pierce Paris, the Stax twins, or Luke Hudson make me feel all kinds of ways.

"Someone Like You" by Adele: Another love song so that shows my sappy side. I am a big Adele fan so I have a lot of her music on my playlist. If you are driving and see me lyp syncing like a crazy person, then this song is probably playing and I’m attempting to convey my love to her with an epic car performance.

"Only Girl" by Rihanna: Hmm now that I see my licks it’s obvious I’m not only sappy but need acceptance even though I’ve been married to my adult career for 17 years. Rihanna is not only an amazing vocalist but also a great performer. "Only Girl" isn’t one of her biggest hits but it definitely hits the right spot for me.
