What were you like back in high school? Who did you hang out with/date?
"I flitted in and out of various social circles. I could draw, play an instrument. I was quiet but affable. I had some social currency and a burgeoning confidence, so I wasn't a total wallflower. I also smoked during lunch. Automatic cool points. As far as dating? I dated whomever would have me. Sixteen isn't a picky age."

Were you a porn fan before you got into the industry? Who were your favorite porn stars/favorite porn movies?
"Certainly. As I was coming up in my early twenties, the internet as we know it was just beginning to find its footing. I'd scour through early TGP sites, staying up all hours of the night masturbating furiously, seeking the next big thrill. 'Edging' wasn't a popular term in those days, but by virtue of the early internet landscape, I was an unwitting practitioner of what would become a masturbatory norm. My favorite performer within the fledgling trans niche, circa 2000-2001 was a model simply known as Gina. Porn was this wonderful playground that fed my imagination and occupied much of my free time. I'd no idea that I'd one day be a part of it. The thought never crossed my mind. Porn was something other. Something that existed far outside of my reality. What kind of scene have you found is your favorite kind to do so far?
"I'm simple. "If I weren't in the position I am, I don't know that I'd be using Twitter at all. I must as a means of promotion and marketing. I do my best to put myself in my fans/customers shoes. I try not to simply spam my wares. I put a bit of myself out there along with my promo. I walk a line between exceedingly personal, which I have no interest in and not coming off as calculated, cloying fake. I enjoy the challenge of maintaining just the right balance. It keeps me sharp as a creator and on a good day, it keeps my fans engaged while sparking interest in my brand, potentially generating sales."

How did you become a porn performer? What led you down that career path?
"That's a long story. I will refer readers to this particular podcast where I personally describe the circumstances and processes that led me down the road to where I am now."

What do you most want to achieve in the industry?
"I don't have any definitive industry goals. I live and work in the service of becoming a better person. As I grow, I trust my achievements will reflect my efforts. Whatever form those achievements take are absolutely arbitrary to me."

What is one thing you would teach someone who wanted to be a better sexual partner?
"Be with people who want you as much as you want them. If y'all have that going on, there's no mistake you can make that won't inevitably lead to deeper communication, discovery, and magic."

What do you love most about being in porn?
"The autonomy this particular grift affords. As a performer, porn is an unregulated, federally ignored and wholly unsecure 'employment' opportunity. It's not a job. It's not a career. It's most akin to being in a band. The barrier for entry into the world of porn is extremely low as is it's rung on the entertainment ladder it occupies.
In order for a performer to thrive, their meddle must be tested. Appearance, people skills, professional ambition, tenacity and a healthy dissatisfaction with the status quo completely dictates whether one prospers in this field. One's failure or success completely falls on one's shoulders. Porn is not a meritocracy, nothing about it can be regulated to guarantee success up the proverbial latter. As with most profitable creative endeavors, it's meant to be one of life's icings, a luxury, an unessential yet highly sought commodity. By those metrics a crack in the system presents itself to those adventurous enough to defy convention and prove to themselves that they can in fact live on their own terms."

What do you like to do for fun?

It is NOT a lifestyle. It's not what you see as a consumer. Tread lightly. Tread seriously. This business attracts a lot of broken wings with the perceived promise of fortune and fame. Nothing could be further from the truth. Approach with a thick skin, healthy backbone and a strong sense of self. Also, being a decent person goes a long way. This business is already neck deep in assholes. Heh."
