On Monday, April 21st, smoking hot, glamorous, versatile, and multi-award-winning trans performer Ariel Demure was invited by Professor Constance Penley as a guest for her media studies class on pornography at the University of California, Santa Barbara.
Ariel Demure was the guest of honor at UC Santa Barbara on Monday. She was on stage with five graduate students and an audience of over 50 undergraduates who attended the beautiful Pollock Theater. The beginning of Ariel’s award-winning film, “Gorgons & Goddesses,” was shown. A montage of photos of Ariel was on the screen behind her as she fielded questions from the graduate students and the audience about the film, her time in the industry, being a trans performer, and much more.
“It was such an honor to be on stage at a prestigious university talking about my career, film, and the state of trans women in the country right now. Professor Penley and her students were very welcoming and had some really thoughtful questions for me,” says Ariel Demure.
Past guests have included Axel Bruan, Steve Hirsch, Angela White, Mick Blue, Bree Mills, Casey Calvert, and many other adult luminaries.
Penley is the past chair of UCSB’s film and media studies department, founding director of the Carsey-Wolf Center for media research, and an acclaimed scholar who has been a pioneer in researching and teaching in the cultural studies field of porn studies.
With just a few years in the industry, Ariel is in demand and has worked for all the top studios and has appeared in over 80 scenes for Adult Time’s Oopsie! and Transfixed, Grooby, Evil Angel, TransAngels, Gender X Films, Devil’s Film, and Transsensual, and has scored tons of DVD covers. Ariel recently started directing for Adult Time. She’s among the few stars to have a perfect 5-star rating from fans on Adult Empire. And like Tera Patrick, she was featured in two of the biggest adult publications in the same month, AVN and XBIZ World magazines, in August of 2024.
