Evan Stone Enters Republican Primary for Nevada’s First Congressional District

NEWS & PRESS STRAIGHT

In a bid to represent Nevada’s first congressional district in Washington, D.C., male performer Evan Stone is one of several candidates in a crowded Republican primary race.

The statewide primary election for both Democrats and Republicans will take place on June 11. In an interview with AVN, Stone elaborated on his motivations for running for office and his ambition to become the first active adult performer to serve in Congress. With a libertarian-leaning platform, Stone aims to bring change and transparency to the halls of Congress.

“It’s nothing personal; I just happen to live in District 1,” Stone told AVN, referring to his challenge against incumbent Democrat U.S. Rep. Dina Titus, who has served since 2013. “I am sure she’s done a competent job. She’s been in office for a long time, and no one has said anything bad about Rep. Titus. I just want to serve.”

At 59, Evan Stone is one of the most recognizable faces in modern adult cinema. His accolades include his 2011 induction into the AVN Hall of Fame, numerous Male Performer of the Year and Best Actor awards, and a vast array of other honors. Some of Stone’s highest-profile work includes roles in “Pirates,” “Pirates II: Stagnetti’s Revenge,” “Babe Runners,” and “Katwoman XXX.”

Now, Evan Stone seeks to transition from his career in adult films to public service. His platform focuses on legalizing prostitution across the country and liberalizing marijuana laws. Although these positions are atypical for a Republican politician, Stone identifies with right-leaning libertarians who support free markets and reduced regulation.

Stone is a strong advocate for the First Amendment and has criticized certain factions within the national Republican Party as “far-right.” He specifically addressed Project 2025, a network of conservative think tanks led by the Heritage Foundation, which calls for the criminalization of pornography.

“It’s not going to work,” Stone said of Project 2025’s agenda. He described the group as “far-right,” noting their rigid stance leaves no room for dialogue or compromise. Despite these differences, Stone would welcome an endorsement from former President Donald Trump if offered.

“Yes, I would accept that from the Republican Party and Trump,” Stone said. “It doesn’t mean that I agree with everything he’s done or said. But, you’re not going to point him in the right direction if you don’t work with him.”

Considering Trump’s recent legal troubles, Stone commented on the former president’s situation. “The man has been convicted of several felonies,” he said. “It’s funny that something that happened years ago came to fruition now when it did. He’s got his appeals going on, and we’ll see how this goes. It doesn’t seem like it has harmed him at all.

When asked about fellow AVN Hall of Famer Stormy Daniels and her involvement in Trump’s legal issues, Stone expressed sympathy for her. “First of all, I love Stormy Daniels,” he asserted. “And, I feel sick seeing all these stupid crazy people out there sending her threats and stuff. It’s just ridiculous the stuff she had to go through. I am not surprised that she kept herself together because she is a very strong woman.”

Stone’s bid for Congress is unique not only because of his career in adult entertainment but also because he continues to perform in new scenes. “I can’t wait to have sex on the House floor,” Stone joked, segueing into the question of whether he would continue performing if elected. He said an attorney would review any potential conflicts if he wins the primary.

Stone also voiced support for gun rights, a woman’s right to choose, freedom of religion, and freedom of speech—stances that often run counter to traditional Republican viewpoints. Despite the Democratic-leaning nature of Nevada’s first congressional district, Stone remains undeterred in his quest to serve in Congress.

Born in Kalamazoo, Michigan, in 1964, Evan Stone was adopted at one week old and grew up in Gobles, Michigan. He has worked in various blue-collar positions, including at a cola company, an abattoir, and family farms. Stone attended Western Michigan University, where he participated in ROTC and played football. After moving to Texas and working for a collections agency, he became a male exotic dancer and eventually transitioned to a career in adult films in California. Stone has since settled in Nevada and hopes to make a difference by running for office.
