While many reviewers online seem to concentrate on either low end toys or the high end stuff few people can afford, I try to mix it up a bit in order to help me keep my perspective.  So while I do try to review a lot of toys in the under-$30 area and do, on occasion, get a handful of over-$100 devices to check into, I appreciate the balances made by the companies to offer up a variety of toys somewhere in the middle of those two ranges.  One such toy comes from Good Vibrations courtesy of their partners at Fun Factory in Germany (hint: this was one of the few toys not made in China for those of you who are socially conscious) called the G-Twist.  The toy comes in a cardboard box with a few flaps describing the benefits of toys made from 100% medical grade silicone; including how non toxic it is, how flexible and easy to clean it is, and how durable among other descriptors.

Okay, the toy comes in a variety of colors including a few shades of blue, pink, purple, red, and black with gray toned control knobs on the bottom which hold the two AA batteries firmly in place.  It is said to be water resistant so some care should be used in cleaning it and while playing with especially wet women, my experiences telling me that it was easy to clean and no moisture crept into the battery container though I did not give it an immersion test as the advertising did not say it was water "proof", only that it could be submerged during cleaning if proper precautions were met.  The toy is 8.4" long and 1.5" thick (except at the flared base), just large enough for most ladies I've been with over the years.  The usable length then is closer to 5" and the flared ridges are soft enough that they will probably not cause too many problems for most people, adding in another way to provide stimulation during vaginal penetration. 

The batteries lasted over two hours in my testing, the variable speed dial on the bottom controlling the speed it worked at, the knob also pretty stiff so your settings will remain unless you consciously change them (a big plus in my book).  The company website claims you can immerse the entire toy but given the lack of a tight O-ring or gasket, I'd refrain from that if at all possible, this possibly being one of the reasons for reports of the toy not lasting as long as it could (online friends tell me that they've heard from 2 months to two years is the range but there was no specific warranty that came in my box).  One of the early problems with the toy in this regard was some people couldn't figure out how to open and close the battery case, the instructions upgraded to the level where anyone with an IQ over 75 should have no issues with it (including a diagram as well as six languages worth of tips).

Okay, as far as the bed test was concerned, the device worked very nicely as both a clitoral and as a penetrative vibrator.  It was on the large size for anal action but the G-spot benefits were pronounced and almost immediate, the toy also very quiet when in use.  Nadine liked the softer ridges as her labia wrapped around the device and she certainly seemed to appreciate it being used on her by me given my experience but also on her own.  So many toys are overly complicated and this was a healthy change from that dynamic, the highest speed locking in when the control was turned enough.  Except for the reports of the motor burning out prematurely (and good sellers will replace them under their own warranties if that happens), the quality of the silicone was much like what I'd expect out of a much pricier toy so this might be a wise selection for some of you, my appreciation for German engineering not quite as pronounced as that TV "Sham-Wow" guy but respectable all the same.  That being the case, the G-Twist silicone vibrator merited at least a Recommended from Nadine but verged on a highly recommended held back only by the reports regarding the motor (though frankly, the toy worked nearly as well as a dildo, just a wee bit too large for prostate testing).  If you want the luxurious feel of 100% medical grade silicone for a reasonable price, check this one out for yourselves and see what I'm getting at.
