Odyssey Tickler

BUY NOW

The Odyssey Tickler comes from a line
offered by a highly reputable sex toy shop. I wouldn't hesitate to
recommend the site or stores to anyone- but I have to ask- what were
they thinking??

The Odyssey tickler comes in the same ugly, non
recyclable packaging as it's G-spotting friend, the Nubby G. The Odyssey's ticklers were disfigured on one side from sitting in it's
packaging. It didn't make a difference though, because I didn't notice
the ticklers (we'll get to that). It's made of TPR, so a quick wash
with soap and water and you're ready to go. It should be noted that TPR
cannot be sanitized so it cannot be shared. But both water and silicone
based lubricants are okay to use. The Odyssey is also water resistant,
so a few misplaced splashes aren't anything to worry about.

It takes 2 AA batteries and has an easy to use twist cap with a rubber
ring to help make it water resistant. Just be sure to always screw on
the cap securely. To turn up the vibrations, simply twist the dial. The
dial has a texture on it, so it's fairly easy to use even with lubed up
fingers. The vibrator is okay for two AAA's and pretty quiet once
inserted. The Odyssey has an insertable length of 3-1/2" and is only
1-1/5" in circumference at it's widest point.

The Odyssey really let me down as a vaginally penetrative toy, sadly.
In the Bed Test, I quickly threw it aside in disgust. It's not wide
enough to provide me a full feeling, not long enough to use for
penetration, and the "tickler" base didn't tickle anything. It was just
kind of there and the vibrations didn't transfer through it well. And
even if they had, the tickler base didn't reach my clitoris in any way.
So the Odyssey wasn't going to get me off, no matter how I tried.

I wanted to find a redeeming point about the Odyssey, but I really
can't. A lot of penetrative toys that have good vibrators could simply
be used for clitoral stimulation, but the Odyssey's shape and lack of a
strong vibration really makes that option pointless. Poor packaging,
poor vibes, and a poor design: I don't have much choice other than to
say Skip It, despite coming from one of my favorite sex toy retailers.
