Having written thousands of reviews over the years, including hundreds of toy reviews at that, I routinely get the message from readers that even when they disagree with my conclusions (gasp!), they appreciate that there are dedicated individuals trying to assist them in finding products suited to their personal needs.  Reviewing movies is fairly easy in some ways because there are generally accepted standards in terms of lighting, technical values, and even performer skills (to a point) but sex toys are so personal in nature that it is often easier to just outline the details and let the consumer decide whether it might work for them.  This weighed heavily on my mind when I reviewed the Evolved Novelties Pristine from their True Love collection, a device pink in color and decent in its ability to provide some good vibrations in bed.

Measuring in at about 8.5" in length and almost 2" across, the Pristine is a jelly toy made of a phthalate free, medical grade TPR according to the company, meaning it should not give most people any problems.  While not the silicone material some of my associates really adore, this one put off only a small bit of that familiar chemical scent I've noticed of the line, the "made in China" label featured on the back of the slightly revised metal case it came in.  The new case had a plastic top but the same old metal latches my gal pals love, a clear plastic holder inside the case keeping the toy centered instead of the gray foam that used to be common inside the line.

This one takes 2 AA batteries and has three speeds (accessed by the push button knob on the bottom of the vibrator), the "O" ring keeping it safe from water or other fluids that are harmful to electronic devices.  It survived a 5 minute stay under water when completely submerged, and the batteries lasted longer than the 60 minute mark at the high setting without any degradation in strength.  The settings were not all that different from one another here but the strongest setting certainly was enough to gain Nadine's approval, the flexibility and "give" of the jelly body much to her liking.

With the vibrating bullet at the top of the head, this could be used for successful clitoral stimulation at length just as it could work on g-spot or p-spot manipulation for the advanced user.  It was easy to work the control and while some people really like the variable speed, multiple pattern vibrators on the market, there is a sort of elegance in simplicity here to appreciate.  It was a pretty strong vibration too, especially on the highest setting, such that beginners might find it too strong until they hanker down and get used to it, but in a week of testing, no problems arose to speak of despite a tendency for the jelly to peel slightly away from the harder plastic base when pushed to the limit.  I doubt it will hold up as well as their harder plastic line too if past experience is any guide, but frankly, given the pricing point for the series, these make a good value if you aren't socially conscious enough to care where they are made from or that smell (which was less noticeable after several lengthy sessions of making Nadine a happy, and wet, tester so I rated the Pristine as Recommended.
