When it comes to the pinnacle of adult sex toys, there has been one name which those who have experienced it will never forget - Sybian. The Sybian is an uber powered, sit on top, stallion of a toy whose vibration intensity is so strong it has the capability to send women into orgasms so intense that they ‘lose their shit’. It’s so distinct that there are many adult movies which are focused on this.
The Sybian is legendary, and for decades it has had no competition. That is until the launch of Motorbunny. To be clear, the Motorbunny is NOT made by the same company as Sybian is, it’s a unique toy with its own benefits and detriments. However, The Motorbunny is to the Sybian what a BMW is to a Mercedes. While they aren’t the same driving experience, they both deliver best in class performance at a premium price. At the time of this review, the Sybian sells for $1,245.00 and the Motorbunny sells for $899 or $999 with 4 attachments and a bluetooth Motorbunny Link Controller (something that makes the Motorbunny into a remote controlled and connected device). See this comparison between the Sybian and The Motorbunny.
How much you will like the Motorbunny really depends on how sensitive you are to heavy vibrations. For some, the Motorbunny (and the Sybian for that matter) are absolutely “no go’. It’s hard to invest nearly $1K on a toy you may not like. Motorbunny though has a reasonable return policy (something that many toy companies do not offer). Motorbunny charges a $199 return/restocking fee which is close to Sybian’s fee of $175. Considering that these used products can’t be resold, it’s a fair amount to pay if you find you aren’t loving your toy.
How do you know if you’d like these intense vibrations? We recommend giving a Hitachi Wand a whirl at the top vibration, if you are still craving more, you may be a Motorbunny gal. It’s important to point out that the Motorbunny does have attachments for guys including a Fleshlight “Jiggle Butt” (which is at a painful $200) as well as the more reasonably priced Keister Bunny Prostate Massager Attachment. Having tested both of these attachments, I can safely say that The Motorbunny is a lot better suited for female use than male. It’s not to say that men can’t get a lot of fun out of The Motorbunny, but there are better toys at a lot lower price that we'd recommend. Heck, a $5 cockring is a much better place to start.
One of the Motorbunny’s features is that it has so many attachments. The $999 bundle includes the low, standard, and large attachment with a large attachment cover. We’d recommend adding some of the premium silicone attachments which run around $35 each, absolutely fairly priced. Also one of Motorbunny’s key differentiators is the LINK Controller. The link controller actually replaces Motorbunny's standard controller and enables bluetooth and online controls. It’s a $199 add-on outside the bundle and worth every penny. On the Motorbunny app there are a lot more wave patterns and controls that you can access, and the fun of being able to control the Motorbunny remotely can’t be understated. The app also has some connected games, but they aren’t really anything to write home about.
The Motorbunny has two major axes of control, there’s Twirl (which with the included anchors can spin and twirl the attachments) and Rumble, which is the core vibration of the Motorbunny. Full power with both is one of the more overstimulating experiences we’ve had, so we recommend that you get the Motorbunny to go SLOW and don’t try to max it out. Using the app was much better in fine-tuning the vibrations and patterns, but trying to use a phone while on the Motorbunny is a lot harder than you’d think. We prefer the knobs for solo use, and enjoy the app for partner use.
The biggest question we had about the Motorbunny was: Is it worth all that money? The short answer is yes. The Motorbunny delivers on the price promise, especially where it counts. The build quality of this device is top-notch including all the connectors, cables, and accessories (especially if you shell out for the premium silicone accessories). The Motorbunny is nothing short of a beast when it comes to delivering explosive orgasms. There’s something about this device, like the Sybian, which can produce unique orgasms which can make even the quietest cummer scream.
It’s hard not to look at the Motorbunny in comparison to the Sybian, but it would be a mistake to see it as a “more affordable option”. The Motorbunny should be considered in its own right, it’s a premium sex toy that delivers an experience that is hard to replicate with other toys, and with its wide range of accessories (including the link), it’s a lot easier to find your fit. The Motorbunny has expanded its range to include another device called The Motorbunny Buck, which we also hope to review.
Final Thoughts:
If you are looking for something that can literally produce screaming orgasms, you’ve found it. The Motorbunny can reach peaks that other toys simply can’t. Its build quality is top-notch and the ability to customize it with accessories is key. On many levels the Motorbunny deserves our top rating, the only reason I’m not giving it our XCritic Pick is the fact that The Motorbunny simply isn’t for everyone. It’s a very specific kind of toy and if it’s a fit for you, you’ll never regret getting it, but for some, it may be a bit too much. With a $199 restocking fee, it’s a bit of an investment to see if it’s the right fit or not. Still, there’s no denying that Motobunny has successfully taken on one of the most iconic sex toys out there and managed to deliver a device that surpasses it in many ways. Highly Recommended.
